Item #: EA-011

Object Class: Dangerous

Name: Tunnel Lurker

Containment: EA-011 is to be contained within a specially designed reinforced steel cell, located deep underground in Outpost Alpha. The cell must be airtight to prevent any breaches or odours from the cell escaping. The cell is also to be equipped with a large concrete tunnel to fit EA-011's natural environment. A strict schedule is to be followed where EA-011 has their daily consumption of EA-050.

Access to EA-011's cell is restricted to Rho-3 personnel and above, and all personnel entering the vicinity must wear odour-blocking suits to adhere with the strict scent-neutralisation protocols given. Monitoring is always required so nothing happens inside of the cell that we may not catch if we don't monitor them. This includes events such as attempts at breaching, riots in the cell, etc.

Profile: EA-011 is a snake-like creature with pale skin, and around 7ft long. Though the entity lacks any eyes, EA-011 possesses an extraordinary olfactory sense, which allows it to detect and track scents with unparalleled precision. It can identify individuals based on their unique odour signatures and movement patterns.

EA-011 can eliminate all living beings that it detects within its cell almost instantaneously, using undisclosed means. The exact method of the lethal actions inflicted by EA-011 remains unknown, as victims show no visible signs of physical trauma. It is imperative that EA-011's containment cell always remains secure, with mostly little to no personnel entering to prevent any accidental or unauthorised access (this should be checked by the security located outside of its doors).

Due to EA-011's dangerous object class and its swift undetectable attacks, all personnel entering its vicinity must exercise extreme caution and strictly follow all containment protocols to prevent potential harm or breaches of this anomaly. Any breach or unaccounted personnel with EA-011's cell must be immediately reported to Site A's security for containment and (in severe cases) neutralisation procedures.

Addendum: Experiment Log

EA-011 Experiment Log EA-011 is a record of conducted experiments aimed at further understanding the capabilities and behavior of EA-011, also known as the Tunnel Lurker. These experiments were carried out under strict containment protocols and supervised by Level 4 personnel.

Experiment 001:
Date: ██/██/20██
Objective:
Determine the range of EA-011's olfactory detection abilities.
Procedure: A series of scented objects were placed at varying distances within EA-011's containment cell. The scents included perfumes, food items, and biological samples.
Results: EA-011 successfully detected and accurately identified the scents from a distance of up to 100 meters. Its olfactory capabilities exhibited exceptional range and precision.

Experiment 002:
Date: ██/██/20██
Objective:
Study the speed and efficiency of EA-011's lethal actions.
Procedure: A T-Class personnel equipped with a tracking device entered EA-011's cell. Once detected by EA-011, the subject was instructed to attempt to evade and escape its presence.
Results: EA-011 swiftly and efficiently eliminated the subject, despite their attempts to evade. The exact method of termination could not be observed, as there were no visible signs of trauma or cause of death.

Experiment 003:
Date: ██/██/20██
Objective:
Assess the effectiveness of odor-blocking suits in preventing detection by EA-011.
Procedure: Two T-Class personnel, one wearing an odor-blocking suit and the other without any additional protection, entered EA-011's cell simultaneously.
Results: EA-011 quickly detected and eliminated the T-Class personnel without discrimination, regardless of the presence of the odor-blocking suit. This suggests that EA-011 possesses means of detection beyond olfactory cues.

Experiment 004:
Date: ██/██/20██
Objective:
Study EA-011's response to audio stimuli.
Procedure: Various sounds, including high-pitched tones, animal calls, and human voices, were played within EA-011's containment cell.
Results: EA-011 displayed no discernible response or reaction to any of the audio stimuli, indicating that its primary mode of detection and hunting relies on olfactory perception.

Experiment 005:
Date: ██/██/20██
Objective:
Assess the effects of introducing a secondary scent in EA-011's containment cell.
Procedure: A controlled release of a different scent was introduced alongside EA-011's regular environment.
Results: EA-011 displayed heightened aggression and actively sought out the source of the new scent. Its behavior became more erratic and unpredictable, indicating sensitivity and potential territorial responses to unfamiliar odors.
