Item #: EA-054

Object Class: Hazardous

Name: The Glitched Hoop

Containment: EA-054 is to be contained within a 5m x 5m x 5m reinforced concrete cell at Outpost Beta. The walls, floor, and ceiling of the containment cell are to be constructed with a minimum thickness of 1 meter to prevent unintended breaches. The cell should be devoid of any other objects or equipment.

A remote-controlled robotic arm equipped with a device is to be affixed to the rim of EA-054. This device includes a button that activates the anomalous transportation effect when pressed. The control panel for the robotic arm and the button must be located outside of the containment cell, accessible only to authorized personnel with Level 3 security clearance.

Access to EA-054 is restricted to experimentation and authorized research purposes only. Personnel interacting with EA-054 must wear Level A hazmat suits and maintain a distance of at least 2 meters from the entity at all times.

Profile: EA-054 is a standard-sized basketball hoop, measuring approximately 7 feet (2.1 meters) in height. It appears to be constructed from typical materials used in basketball hoops, such as steel, nylon netting, and a plastic backboard. No manufacturing markings or labels are present to identify its origin.

When an object or individual enters EA-054, they are instantaneously transported to an alternate dimension (referred to as EA-054-A). EA-054-A is characterized by severe glitches and distortions, similar to a malfunctioning digital display. The exact nature of EA-054-A and its relationship to our reality remains unknown.

Objects that enter EA-054 remain trapped within EA-054-A and do not reappear on the other side. However, with the addition of the remote-controlled robotic arm and the attached device, it is now possible to retrieve objects by activating the button on the device while an object is inside EA-054.

Individuals who enter EA-054 experience extreme distortion of their physical form and become unrecognizable. No evidence suggests that these individuals remain conscious or retain any form of identity after entering EA-054. As such, testing with human subjects is strictly prohibited.

Addendum 054-1: Incident Report 054-A

On ██/██/20██, an unauthorized experiment involving a T-Class personnel was conducted with EA-054. The T-Class subject was instructed to enter EA-054, and the remote-controlled robotic arm was activated to retrieve the subject using the attached device.

Upon pressing the button, the T-Class subject failed to reappear on the other side. Instead, a massive surge of glitch-like distortions radiated from EA-054, causing a temporary disruption in the electrical systems within a 10-meter radius. After approximately 30 seconds, the distortions ceased, and EA-054 returned to its normal state.

Following this incident, the containment protocols were updated to prevent unauthorized access and ensure no T-Class personnel are exposed to EA-054. The unauthorized use of EA-054 is strictly prohibited.
